Time moves differently here in the mountains. Where mist still rises on its own schedule and celebrations unfold at nature's pace, we've created a sanctuary for those seeking something deeper than the ordinary. In a world that demands faster and more, Mountain Laurel Farm invites you to slow down and savor the presence of each moment.
We acknowledge that this land, now known as Mountain Laurel Farm, rests on the traditional territories of the Apalache, Miccosukee (misidentified as Creek by British colonizers), and S'atsoyaha (Yuchi) peoples, as well as the Tsalaguwetiyi (Eastern Cherokee). This land was taken through Cession 103, one of many broken treaties that resulted in the forced removal of these Indigenous nations from their ancestral homes. We recognize this history and commit to honoring the past, present, and future of these Indigenous communities.
We honor these Indigenous peoples by fostering awareness of the true history of colonialism, including broken treaties, forced relocation, and cultural suppression. We recognize our responsibility to share these truths and support Indigenous communities' ongoing efforts for sovereignty, justice, and healing. Their traditional ecological knowledge and profound connection to the earth continue to guide our commitment to mindful stewardship of this special place.

Here, we embrace the beauty of imperfection, where wild mountain flowers bloom and natural pathways wind through untamed beauty. Our spaces reflect the genuine character of mountain living, where every weathered beam and wild blackberry patch tells a story.
